Gazza shows his true colours once again
Former Rangers & England star Paul Gascoigne once again shows his true colours as he panders to the sectarian bigots to keep the funds flowing.
Just under a month after an event with Paul Gascoigne was cancelled by the owners of Clickimin Leisure Centre in Lerwick, Gazza is in the news again for all the wrong reasons.
The former Rangers and England midfielder attended a fan event labelled ‘Sash Bash with Gazza’ at a bar in Benidorm, and during a five minute video capturing the scenes - those attended the event belted out Tina Turner’s Simply the Best tune before they and Gazza proceeded to sing the ‘Fuck the Pope and the IRA’ add-ons.
This latest incident of bigotry from Gazza proves that the owners of the Clickimin Leisure Centre were correct to cancel the event, as were the Scottish Football Hall of Fame committee in withdrawing their invitation to Gazza to be inducted into the Hall of Fame.
It isn’t the first time that Gazza has shown his true colours during such events, with events at Alloa and Irvine plagued by sectarian singing and chanting with the once heralded talisman party to it all.
His footballing talents are now a distant memory with him now being remembered more for his drug-fuelled booze-fuelled binges, his wife beating, taking chicken and beers to killer Raoul Moat, and the racist abuse of a security guard at one of his events.
This latest incident however, did not involve booze and comes weeks after he was videoed begging a fan for drugs.
The former Rangers midfielder is currently also awaiting trial for sexual assaulting a woman on a train from York to Durham. The former Rangers midfielder pled not guilty to the charge and will stand trial in October.
What a waste. There is only so much sympathy and pity you can have for an individual before that turns to indifference and disgust.
